Giorgia Todrani is a 42-year-old Italian singer who was born in Rome. Called "the Italian Whitney Houston", she was the winner of the newcomers section of Festival di Sanremo in 1993, and three times top three of its main category, winning in 95, being third in 96 and runner-up in 2001. She is soon releasing a new album, and its first single was already released. "Quando una stella muore" is an emotional ballad which shows she is still at her best.
