Laurent Amir Khlifa Khedider Haddad is Amir, a French singer who was born in Paris in 1984. Amir's Jewish roots took him to live near Tel Aviv, Israel, since 1992. There, he took part of Kokhav Nolad, a very popular Israeli talent show. He continued his career between Israel and France, ultimately participating in the French version of The Voice, where he finished third. The contrast between Eastern and Western cultures can be fully appreciated in his latest single, "Oasis": the song is a powerful pop with R&B beats and a delightful touch of Oriental sounds.
