Spain | La Musicalité - "Bailando en la oscuridad"

Spanish band La Musicalité, from Palma de Mallorca, has the distinction of starring the first post ever in the history of Sounds European!, with the excellent "Última noche en la Tierra". They are now releasing their new album, "6", whose new single is "Bailando en la oscuridad". It is a cool uptempo pop-rock, with cathy melody and a very happy mood.

Italy | Tiziano Ferro - "Senza scappare mai più"

Tiziano Ferro, who was born in the city of Latina in 1980, is one of the biggest stars of Italian music. After many years without releasing a new album, and more than a year without having a new single, he is now back with his first the-best-of collection ever. Turkey | Sıla - "Reverans"

RECENT

Sıla Gençoğlu (who appeared on SE! last year with "Aslan gibi") is a 34-year-old Turkish singer who was born in the city of Acıpayam. Her new single "Reverans" is very good. It's an interesting mix of electronic and pop-rock, spiced up with several traditional Turkish elements. The result is unique and quite enjoyable, making it our song of the week.

Sweden | Carola - "Tell me this night is over"

RECENT

Carola Häggkvist is one of the most important names of Swedish music and of Eurovision Song Contest. She took part of the contest on three occasions, in three different decades (1983, 91 and 2006), having won in 1991. Currently, she is participating in the fifth season of the reality show Så Mycket Bättre, where famous singers make versions for each other's biggest hits. We now present her very cool cover for "Tell me this night is over", originally performed by Ola Salo, vocalist of the band The Ark (which also went to Eurovision, in 2007).

Netherlands | The Elementary Penguins - "Magic"

North Macedonia | DNK - "Sever i Jug"

DNK is a Macedonian duo formed by Andrej (Andreja Gorgieski) and Pancho (Vladimir Blažev, who has already appeared here on SE! before, in a duet with Sara Markoska). They were both born in Skopje, respectively in 1982 and 79. Their new single "Sever i Jug" is a very intense power ballad.

Ireland | HomeTown - "Where I belong"

Ireland is so different that their new boyband has six guys singing instead of five. And let us tell you, they sound fantastic! Josh Gray, Dean Gibbons, Brendan Murray, Cian Morrin, Dayl Cronin and Ryan McLoughlin are managed by the legendary manager Louis Walsh, who is also responsible for the music of Boyzone and Union J. HomeTown's (that's the name of the new band, by the way) first single is called "Where I belong", and if you like boybands, you will not be disappointed!

Ákos Kovács is one of the most prolific Hungarian pop musicians. Born in 1968 in Budapest, he has released innumerous albums and had collaborated with Phil Collins for the Hungarian version of Disney film Tarzan. His latest single is called "Igazán", a haunting indie pop track.
