It's not the first time Sounds European! and the German rock band Jennifer Rostock meet ways. This time, they are receiving Nico Webers, from Berlin, to release "Kaleidoskop". It's a very strong and heavy rock track.
Sam Smith has been featured some times on Sounds European!, with the release of "Stay with me" and the success of "Money on my mind". His latest single, "I'm not the only one", is being a great success around Europe. This week, the song is #5 in Portugal.
It's not the first time the producer and DJ Calvin Harris and the singer Ellie Goulding join forces and record a song. With "I need your love", it was a huge success. Now, with "Outside", it seems the result will be as positive as with the previous single. This new song is incredibly catchy, and the mix of instrumentals, strong beats and Ellie's unique voice makes it all very special.
The Dutch boyband MainStreet was firstly introduced on Sounds European! in August, with the addictive "The missing piece". They are now releasing their next single, "Runaway", which shows they know the exact recipe to make first-class pop tracks. It's just great!
Spanish band La Musicalité, from Palma de Mallorca, has the distinction of starring the first post ever in the history of Sounds European!, with the excellent "Última noche en la Tierra". They are now releasing their new album, "6", whose new single is "Bailando en la oscuridad". It is a cool uptempo pop-rock, with cathy melody and a very happy mood.
Tiziano Ferro, who was born in the city of Latina in 1980, is one of the biggest stars of Italian music. After many years without releasing a new album, and more than a year without having a new single, he is now back with his first the-best-of collection ever. To celebrate it, he has recorded "Senza scappare mai più", a very groovy and intense pop track.
Sıla Gençoğlu (who appeared on SE! last year with "Aslan gibi") is a 34-year-old Turkish singer who was born in the city of Acıpayam. Her new single "Reverans" is very good. It's an interesting mix of electronic and pop-rock, spiced up with several traditional Turkish elements. The result is unique and quite enjoyable, making it our song of the week.
Carola Häggkvist is one of the most important names of Swedish music and of Eurovision Song Contest. She took part of the contest on three occasions, in three different decades (1983, 91 and 2006), having won in 1991. Currently, she is participating in the fifth season of the reality show Så Mycket Bättre, where famous singers make versions for each other's biggest hits. We now present her very cool cover for "Tell me this night is over", originally performed by Ola Salo, vocalist of the band The Ark (which also went to Eurovision, in 2007).
The Elementary Penguins are a indie rock band from Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. They have just released "Magic", a single which mixes perfectly the best of the current indie rock scene with some very cool retro elements. Quite a mood!
