Spanish singer Javy Ramírez was among our 50 favorite songs of 2020. And he returns to Sounds European! to show us his most recent single. "Quién robó tu luz" is a ballad which boasts typically Spanish sounds, especially thanks to Javy's interpretation and the soft claps in the chorus that make it more enticing. Javy himself says that he wrote the song thinking about somebody else, but ended up feeling represented in it many times.

Javy Ramírez is a young Spanish singer hailing from Barbate, a municipality in the province of Cádiz. Javy rose to prominence as a participante of 2020's season of Operación Triunfo. We've just got to listen to his single "La frase", and we couldn't be more in love with it. It's an exciting pop-rock song with that unique energy only Spanish singers seem to know how to add to the genre. It's excellent: it's our song of the week!
