As is our tradition every end of December, it is time to review the best songs of the year. During this period, Sounds European! has featured over 1300 songs. And now, we are presenting, until December 31st, our list of the 50 best European songs of 2021.

Roksana Węgiel loves a challenge. And for her latest single, that's what she got. In "Nowa ja", she explores alternative and synth sounds in a way she's never done before.

As she commented, the song is about "striving for a better world in which bad things will pass and it will be all right again. In this transformation, it is worth starting with yourself. So I decided to step out of my comfort zone. Dancing such a heavy choreography, showing all emotions with dance, was a real challenge for me. I hope it inspires you to reach for what seems unreal".

Polish teen star Roksana Węgiel returns to Sounds European! with a surprising new single. In "Kanaryjski", she explores a more alternative influence into her captivating pop, which is more evident in the indie undertone found in the verses. The chorus is an explosion of sounds that will give you goosebumps!

Roksana describes the song as a "metaphor of what keeps us from falling. This strength is different for everyone. For some it's friends, for others a passion, maybe for someone it is money. For me, these three forces are family, faith and music. If our sails are blown by the 'Canarian wind', it will surely be good". We love it: it's our song of the week!

It's time to check up on Polish singer Roksana Węgiel! Her most recent single features producer Pawbeats (the stage name of Marcin Pawłowski, born in Bydgoszcz, Poland, in 1990), and it is entitled "Tajemnice". The track is an ethereal ballad which creates a dreamy atmosphere to let Roksana's voice shine through. The song is also part of the official soundtrack of the film "Tajemniczy ogród".
