Time to remeet the Finnish band Softengine. They have just released a new single, entitled "All about you & I". Even though a bit calmer than most of their hits, this song keeps their instrumentals' intensity, specially in the chorus. Great one!

Sounds European! looked back on the songs which were published here during this period – more than 1200 – and selected the 50 best ones (in the editors' opinions). The Finnish band Softengine, which represented their country on this year's Eurovision with "Something better", has just released a single to follow the great hit "Yellow house". "The sirens" is a lighter rock track than their two previous ones, but with the same intensity which is characteristic of them.

Softengine gave Finland its best result in years at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with "Something better", finishing in the 11th place. And now they are showing us that they want to go beyond Eurovision. "Yellow house" is their second single, and we just think it's a perfect rock tune!

From May 3rd to May 9th, Sounds European! will review the best entries of this year's Eurovision Song Contest, which is taking place in Copenhagen – with semifinals on May 6th and 8th and the final on the 10th.

Softengine is a band from Seinäjoki, in Finland. They were chosen to the Finnish representatives on the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, following the country's recent history of investing in rock tracks. "Something better" is as energetic as a rock song needs to be for ESC, without being too heavy for the fans' taste. It has the potential to work very well.
