As happened last year, The Roop have won the Lithuanian National Final for the Eurovision Song Contest, and thus will be representing their country in Rotterdam. Vaidotas Valiukevičius, Robertas Baranauskas and Mantas Banišauskas are The Roop, a pop-rock band formed in Vilnius in 2014. They recently got into the public eye in Europe thanks to winning the Lithuanian National Final for Eurovision. Their song "On fire" (a cheeky mix of indie, electronic and pop beats) became a very popular hit in their country, and was among the favorites to win the continental contest before it was cancelled.
