Serbia | Heni Dér - "Ébresztő"

Heni Dér was born in Subotica, Serbia, but made her fame in Hungary after appearing in the reality show Megasztár. This year, she took part of A Dal, the Hungarian National Final for Eurovision, with the song "Ébresztő", a fabulous pop with a very classy atmosphere, but sadly she didn't qualify for the semifinals of the competition.

Sweden | Erika Selin - "Break me up"

Erika Selin was born in 1991 in Sweden. She took part of the Swedish version of Idols in 2009, finishing eighth. This year she submitted a song to the Irish National Final for Eurovision, Eurosong: "Break me up" was one of the favourites to win due to its freshness, its contemporary atmosphere and and Erika's solid voice.

Slovenia | Jana Šušteršič - "Glas srca"

Jana Šušteršič was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1985. Jana started her career as the voice of Serbian band Neverne Bebe, before pursuing a solo music career in her birth country. Then, she became the winner of Slovenija Ima Talent in 2014. Jana has just taken part of EMA 2015, the Slovene National Final for Eurovision, with the outstanding "Glas srca", a pop song that is unique for the country's pattern of pop.

Italy | Anna Tatangelo - "Libera"

Anna Tatangelo is one of the divas of Italian music. Born in 1987 in Sora, she conquered her country by winning the Giovani category of Sanremo in 2002. This year, she took part of the main category of the festival with "Libera", a true Italian pop ballad with an explosive chorus and a massive instrumentation. Sadly, the song did not make it to the final.

Denmark | Julie Bjerre - "Tæt på mine drømme"

RECENT

We've shown you Julie Bjerre before, with her extraordinary "Zero". The girl came to take part on Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015, the National Final of Denmark for Eurovision, with the sweet and lovely "Tæt på mine drømme". She was almost all the time fighting to win the competition, but eventually came third.

Hungary | Leander Rising - "Lőjetek fel"

RECENT

Leander Rising is a Hungarian metal band formed in 2009 in Budapest. After two successful albums, both of them having great success in the charts, the band decided to take part of A Dal 2015 with the powerful and exquisite song "Lőjetek fel". We think they should've gone to the finals of the competition, but sadly they didn't make it through.

Spain | Sweet California - "Vuelvo a ser la rara"

The team of Sounds European! really enjoys the music by the Spanish group Sweet California. And here they are again, surprising us one more time, with "Vuelvo a ser la rara". It's a touching and beautiful ballad song, with delicate vocals and a great melody. The video clip, shot in Venice, only helps building the mood even more!

Finland | Nightwish - "Élan"

Nightwish, one of Finland's most sublime bands, have just released a magnific single. The song is "Élan", a wonderful piece of symphonic rock with a very delicate touch of folk instruments, and which is taken from their latest album, "Endless forms most beautiful".

Romania | Andi Tóth - "Legyek én"

Andi Tóth is the stage name of Andrea Tóth, born in 1999 in Oradea, Romania. Her career, though, is happening in Hungary, where she's just won the fifth season of their version for the reality show The X Factor. She is only 16 years old, but what a talented voice! You can check it, and get amazed by it, with listening to her new single "Legyek én", which is just outstanding!

Albania | Miriam Cani - "Bring the rain"

Miriam Cani was born in Elbasan, Albania, in 1985. Her family moved to Heidelberg, in Germany, when she was very young, and that's where she pursued her musical career. "Bring the rain", her latest single, is a very relaxing pop song that flows gently from beginning to end. A very enjoyable tune!
