Ireland | Hozier - "From Eden"

Hozier was elected by our editors the #1 song of 2013 in Sounds European!. Now, he is back, with another epic song. "From Eden" has the same grandiose atmosphere of "Take me to church", but with a slightly different approach. Once more, a great track!

Ukraine | Mariya Yaremchuk - "Bez tebya"

Mariya Yaremchuk gave a little confusion to the Eurovision fans around the globe. She was heavily criticized for her victory on the Ukrainian National Final with "Tick tock", and the revamped version of the song didn't convince many more people. She eventually presented the final version of the track last week. But in the middle of this mess, she released a single which lasted three minutes and everybody thought would be her bid for Copenhagen. It is not, but we can enjoy the soft and beautiful "Bez tebya" anyway!

Catarina Pereira got famous in Portugal when she tried to represent her country on Eurovision with "Canta por mim" in 2010, but lost the Portuguese National Final. This year, she tried the NF again, but lost once more. Her song "Mea culpa" was much better than the winner, and its defeat is involved in a lot of rumors of fraudulent voting. The song also has a very cool version in English.
