Finland | Stig - "Roy Orbison"

The electronic indie pop of Finnish singer Stig is very known to SE! readers – with this post, it's already the fourth time he is appearing on our site. And the reason is very clear: we love his work! His new single "Roy Orbison" is a great example of his cool (and unique) music style. Such a soothing and addictive track!

Montenegro | Sergej Ćetković - "Zar je kraj?"

Sergej Ćetković is one of the most important names of the Balkan music scene. Born in Podgorica in 1976, Sergej is also known for being the first artist ever to take Montenegro to the final of Eurovision Song Contest (earlier this year, with the beautiful "Moj svijet"). He has now released another touching song, the endearing "Zar je kraj?".

Sweden | Jari Sillanpää - "Sinä ansaitset kultaa"

It's not the first time Sounds European! talks about Jari Sillanpää, singer who was born in Sweden (in 1965, in Ludvika) but has his career developed in Finland. After "Tanssii kuin John Travolta", it's time to listen to "Sinä ansaitset kultaa", a very high-quality ballad pop song. It's a track which grows little by little, in the proper amount, until a great chorus.

Slovenia | Flora&Paris - "To je plan"

Flora&Paris is a Slovene group which is named after Flora Ema Lotrič (who was fifth place on Misija Evrovizija, reality show created to select an artist for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest). They were already on Sounds European! in January, when the beautiful "Olje in voda" was our song of the week. Now, to celebrate the release of their debut album, "Jutranja rosa", we listen to their current single, the delightful "To je plan".

Denmark | Scarlet Pleasure - "The strip"

Not long ago, we met the Danish band Scarlet Pleasure with the groovy "Under the palm trees". Now, it's time to check their brand-new single "The strip". The song has a very classy retro feeling. It's impossible not to dance along its catchy melody! The clip, which basically shows the boys of the band having genuine fun in LA, fits it all perfectly. It's a great track to improve anyone's mood, specially for a Saturday night out. So enjoy it before going out tonight: it's our song of the week.

Azerbaijan | Nigar Jamal - "Yalan"

Nigar Jamal, also known as Nikki Jamal, is a singer who was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, in 1980. She is better known for being part of the duo Ell & Nikki, winner of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with "Running scared". She has just released "Yalan", a great pop song filled with groove.

Poland | LemON - "Jutro"

LemON is one of our favorite names from the current Polish music scene. And their new single "Jutro" is another clear example of why we love them: their melody and instrumentals are totally involving, and the vocals are totally fitting to it, creating a unique and very pleasant blend.

Finland | Don Huonot - "Salaisuus"

BRAND NEW

Don Huonot was one of the greatest bands of the Finnish rock 'n' roll scene of the '90s. They've gathered once more for the project We Want More (a reality show which brings back bands which were successful in the past). Their new single "Salaisuus" is such a cool rock ballad! It's a perfect match of great instrumentals and soothing voice.

Sweden | Ace Wilder - "Riot"

Ace Wilder, born Alice Kristina Ingrid Gernandt, is a 32-year-old Swedish singer from Stockholm. She was the runner-up of the 2014 Melodifestivalen, the National Final of Sweden for Eurovision, with the energetic "Busy doin' nothing". Now, some months after the competition, she is back with another powerful dance pop song, "Riot".

Spain | Pablo Alborán - "Pasos de cero"

BRAND NEW

The Spanish singer Pablo Alborán is a recurring name on Sounds European!. And now he is back again, with his new song "Pasos de cero". It displays his beautiful voice, in a track which explores the best Spanish music can offer.
