You've Seen Here: 2018 Eurovision Song Contest

EUROVISION

We are entering the week several of our readers have been waiting for the entire year: it's time for the Eurovision Song Contest. As it's our tradition, we now offer a summary of the contest, reviewing all of the competing entries (remembering most of them were already presented in our site during the recent months).

This year, Eurovision is taking place at Altice Arena, in Lisbon, following last year's victory of Portugal, with "Amar pelos dois". The bookies' favorite to win the trophy is Israel, with Netta's "Toy" (song which is presented right below). Other potential winners according to experts are France, Estonia, Finland and Bulgaria.

Born in Eckernförde, Germany, in 1990, Michael Schulte is a singer and songwriter who found fame after finishing third on the very first edition of The Voice of Germany. This year, he won the ticket to represent his country on the Eurovision stage with the song "You let me walk alone", a touching ballad with a deep emotional message.

Spain | Dani Martin - "Dieciocho"

Sounds European! remeets Spanish star Dani Martin, who has a new single on offer. "Dieciocho" is a great pop-rock song, with wonderful instrumentals and a chorus which is very captivating.

Portugal | Cláudia Pascoal - "O jardim"

RECENT

Portugal is getting ready to host Eurovision for the very first time. And, in home soil, they will have reasons to feel proud of their own representative. Cláudia Pascoal (born in Gondomar in 1994) will sing the touching "O jardim", a very intimate and emotional ballad written by Isaura (who also provides backing vocals).

United Kingdom | LEDGER - "Not dead yet"

BRAND NEW

Despite being known as the drummer and co-vocalist for American band Skillet, Jennifer Ledger was born in Coventry, United Kingdom, in 1989. She has just released her debut EP, and we were mesmerized with one of its songs: "Not dead yet" is an edgy synth rock with an explosive chorus. Its power made it become our song of the week!

Lithuania | Ginta - "Mais oui mais non"

Ginta is the stage name of Gintare Kubiliutė, singer who was born in Kaunas, Lithuania, in 1987 and raised in Switzerland. Her new single is "Mais oui mais non", a delightful song with a unique melody and an irresistible chorus. We love it!

Spain | Manel Navarro - "Voulez-vous danser?"

Spanish singer Manel Navarro is back to our site with a brand new look and a very cool sound. His new single is "Voulez-vous danser?", a Latin-infused soft pop which throws some French in the mix to result in a very interesting single.
