Next Sunday, we are having the 2021 edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards. It's going to take place at the László Papp Budapest Sports Arena, in Budapest, Hungary. And, keeping the tradition, Sounds European! takes this opportunity to review all the nominees who were shown on our site throughout the past year, and to celebrate their music.

You've Seen Here: 2021 Eurovision Song Contest

EUROVISION

After two years waiting because of the cancellation of the 2020 edition, it's finally here: it's Eurovision week! And we are retaking a tradition of ours: we're presenting our guide to the 2021 contest, remembering all of the competing entries (as most of them were already reviewed on Sounds European! during the past months).

As was planned in for last year, the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest is going to be held at Rotterdam Ahoy, in Rotterdam, following the 2019 victory of the Netherlands, with "Arcade". Before the 2021 rehearsals, the bookies had Malta and Switzerland as the big favorites for this year's trophy. Now, Italy, France, Iceland, Cyprus and Bulgaria.

We now take this opportunity and highlight a song we really enjoy, but weren't able to publish before, Russia's "Russian woman" – as Manizha was born in Tajikistan:

You've Seen Here: 2019 Eurovision Song Contest

The week of Eurovision Song Contest has arrived, and both the hardcore fans and the curious watchers are turning their full attention to the festival. And as it's our tradition, it's now time to present our guide to the contest, remembering all of the competing entries (as most of them were already reviewed on Sounds European! during the past months).

In 2019, Eurovision is going to be held at Expo Tel Aviv, in Tel Aviv, following last year's victory of Israel, with "Toy". According to the bookies, the Netherlands are the main favorite to win the trophy. Other countries that are pointed by experts as real contenders are Sweden, Russia, France, Azerbaijan and Malta.

We now take this opportunity and highlight a song we really enjoy, but weren't able to publish before, Greece's "Better love" – as Katerine Duska was born in Canada:

FIFA WORLD CUP

Since last Thursday and until July 15th, we will be enjoying some of the best football at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. This year, the event is being held in Russia. So, Sounds European! decided to join the party, offering a set with some of the best Russian songs to have ever been presented in our site. You've Seen Here: 2018 Eurovision Song Contest

We are entering the week several of our readers have been waiting for the entire year: it's time for the Eurovision Song Contest. As it's our tradition, we now offer a summary of the contest, reviewing all of the competing entries (remembering most of them were already presented in our site during the recent months).

This year, Eurovision is taking place at Altice Arena, in Lisbon, following last year's victory of Portugal, with "Amar pelos dois". The bookies' favorite to win the trophy is Israel, with Netta's "Toy" (song which is presented right below). Other potential winners according to experts are France, Estonia, Finland and Bulgaria.

You've Seen Here: 2017 Eurovision Song Contest

We are entering the period many of our readers wait for the entire year: the Eurovision Song Contest week.
