We reviewed more than 1500 songs posted in 2016 and selected the 50 we consider the best ones – which will be presented to you until December 31st.

After three years with male voices from either Ireland or the United Kingdom leading our rankings, it's time to change it all. In 2016, no other song has offered such a perfect set of qualities. It's been months since its release, and we are still fully addicted. "No hero", by Elisa, is music at its most perfect form. It's Sounds European!'s song of the year.
